I am looking at:

Southwark, London,
Standing defiantly on a fenced-off piece of land sits a huge T-34 Russian tank painted in black and white camouflage. The tank is named Stompie after the murdered South African teenager Stompie Muketsi Sepei. The tank was recently painted pink by Aleksandra Mir and the Cubitt artists. This art installation 'Tank Talk' had comparable contexts with two previously painted pink tanks in Prague; the first painted by local artists as a symbol of subversion in 1968 and the second to celebrate the Velvet Revolution in 1989.
